We saved the best till last!! The French Feast Laneway Dinner was a scrumptious 6 course tapas dinner including dessert.
The guests where left with their mouths watering with a menu designed by our head Chef James Nieuwendijk.
The French inspired menu began with a Le Midi farm plate w/ duck liver parfait, pickled vegetables, truffled pork rilette, veal & porcini terrine, chutney, black garlic & croutes. Then on to the favourite dish of the night, Butternut squash & heirloom carrot brulee w/ gruyere & pancetta praline.
The mains where a Whole roasted flounder w/ tarragon & baby caper buerre blanc & nicoise salad, Lamb assiette w/ lamb loin, confit lamb belly, jus gras & baby root vegetables & Confit duck leg a l’orange w/ compressed peach, sous vide rhubarb, orange reduction & roasted fennel puree.
Dessert was the famous Croquembouche w/ crème patisserie.
